Job Summary:
The Engineering Department is seeking a new Process Engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges in the cable manufacturing area. The Engineering Department is seeking a new Process Engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges in the cable manufacturing area. You will collaborate within a high-performance team while providing an outstanding customer experience aligned with Samtec’s DNA.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate and complete all time studies on new and existing products and processes as required by Operations.
- Develop current- and future-state Value Stream Maps of new and existing processes, and establish methods to identify and reduce non-value-added labor and other wastes.
- Perform data analysis related to productivity, output, yield improvement, downtime reduction, and other business KPIs.
- Identify and implement method improvements, including process, tooling, floor layout, and machinery. Support and/or lead process and product transfer requirements and deliverables.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Push/Pull, Kanban, One-Piece Flow, and TOC, as well as conduct risk analysis using FMEA and process control (SPC).
- Assist and support all local and global satellite facilities in operation-related issues, including but not limited to routings, BOMs, and operator efficiency and productivity.
- Work effectively with all internal and external customers. Manage a project portfolio based on priorities and resource allocation.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects aligned with KPIs.
- Perform any other job-related functions as requested by management.

Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.) or other equivalent work experience.
- 5–8 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional English proficiency and strong technical literacy.
- Skilled in data analysis using Excel and Minitab.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent teamwork (both as a member and a leader) and communication skills.
- Proactive and improvement-oriented mindset.
- Able to perform efficiently under pressure.
- Project management experience (desirable).
- Lean / Value Stream Mapping / Six Sigma studies (desirable).
- Power BI knowledge (desirable).
